Code of Conduct

Esher Place has always been regarded as a special place to live with a great community spirit and respect for our neighbours.  With this in mind we suggest here a voluntary list of things we would ask residents to do / not do in order to ensure that the estate remains desirable, safe and pleasant for all of those who live here.

  • Please keep all vehicles to the 20mph speed limit on the estate.

  • There are no pavements on the estate, so please be extra careful of pedestrians on the roads, in particular older residents and children.

  • Please be particularly careful leaving or entering through the Esher Place Avenue entrance. It is very narrow, and sometimes it is difficult to see traffic coming in the opposite direction.

  • Please avoid where possible parking on the estate roads, this is unsightly and also dangerous to pedestrians as drivers may not be able to see them.

  • Grass verges are often used by pedestrians, please do not block them with fences, hedges or vehicles.

  • Be extra alert when navigating the Esher Place Avenue / Wayneflete Tower Avenue junction.

  • If you know that you will be having large vehicles coming to your property, please ask them to use the Pelhams Walk entrance, as it is much wider and easier to navigate.

  • Report any lamppost that are not working to directors@eprl.uk.
Please do not  light bonfires to dispose of garden waste and ask gardeners not to either.

  • Do not block roads on refuse collection days (Wednesdays).

  • It is your responsibility to maintain brick and other road edging to your properties.

  • No advertising  display boards – estate agents, builders, fencing contractors etc.

  • Make sure that any waste, earth dug up, silt or gravel from drives etc does not wash down the roads.

  • Take your waste bins in promptly after they have been emptied, and store them out of sight of the roads.

  • When renting skips, avoid having them on the road, and keep them for the minimum time possible.

  • Keep noise levels reasonable, particularly during quiet times 6 PM to 8 AM weekdays, Saturday 4PM to 10 AM.

  • Notify neighbours in advance of any planned activities that may cause disturbance (e.g., parties, construction).

  • Keep pets under control and clean up after pets in both private and communal areas.

  • Do not allow vegetation to encroach onto neighbouring properties or shared pathways.

  • Respect shared walls, fences, and hedges, and consult neighbours before making alterations.

  • Avoid obstructing pathways, parking areas, or other shared spaces.

  • Dispose of rubbish properly.

  • Do not park on grass verges or other non-parking areas.

  • Keep boundaries clear to allow free pedestrian access, as the estate roads do not have pavements.

  • Avoid placing obstacles such as bins, planters, or other items that could impede pedestrian safety or access.

  • Gates – if you are installing them, please make sure that they are at least 2m+ from the kerb.

  • Hedges – please keep them cut back to the edge of the curb.
